Student Voice

At Marvin Moss Elementary, we are proud to offer a Self Manager program for our 4th and 5th grade students, designed to foster leadership, responsibility, and school pride. Students who are selected as Self Managers are easily identified by their badge or lanyard and take on important roles around the school. These student leaders support community projects, assist during primary recess and lunchtime, help with study hall and teacher tasks, and actively promote school spirit through our Marvin Moss Pledge. The Self Manager program runs from September 8th through Spring Break, and students must be recommended by a teacher, submit an application with parent permission, and complete an essay. Qualified students are then interviewed by our Self Manager committee. To maintain their badge, Self Managers must pass random grade checks, consistently follow the school pledge across all settings, attend required meetings, and complete their assigned leadership shifts. This program is a wonderful opportunity for students to grow as role models and contribute meaningfully to our school community.

Self Managers' Mission Statement

We, the Self Managers of Marvin Moss, are committed to fostering leadership in every student by striving to be trustworthy, kind, and caring.  We are determined to be helpful!
